Advanced Care Paramedicine |

Approved in 2003 by Emergency Health Services of Nova Scotia, the Maritime School of Paramedicine’s Advanced Care Paramedic program is the next level of study for paramedics who have completed the Primary Care Paramedicine program.
The Maritime School of Paramedicine is now accepting applications for the following courses:
Middleton Off-Site Program (Begins January 8, 2010)
Dartmouth Off-Site Program (Begins January 2010)
Dartmouth Full-Time Program (Begins January 2010)
Off-Site Students will attend didactic and practical labs for one week every four weeks during a 12 month period (14 weeks in total). Clinical and practicum time will be scheduled over the next 12 months after the didactic sessions are complete. Students will also be required to complete weekly assignments/self study as well as attend a review day every session.
The Full Time program is a 12 month program that includes 9 months of didactic, lab and clinical placement with 3 months (504 hours) of practicum placement.
The Application Deadline for this program is OCtober 30, 2009.

All applicants will be required to attend a Seat Competition which will include a written examination, skills and scenario based evaluations all at the PCP level. Applicants will also have a personal interview with one of the faculty during this session.
