PCP Career Opportunities

Graduates will have a number of career opportunities including:

• Ambulance positions (with Emergency Health Services NS; or other provincial or state departments of health or emergency medical services).
• Hospital emergency departments (triage and communications)
• Industrial first response/emergency response services
  Medical supply companies

Graduates of the Primary Care Paramedicine (P1) Diploma also possess the prerequisite qualifications to pursue careers in emergency medical dispatch, or advanced care paramedicine. Finally, graduates may combine the Primary Care Paramedicine Diploma with other skills, experience and/or education to pursue careers in management and education in related fields/settings.
