PCP Application Information

Please note: The 2008 - 2009 academic year deadline has passed. We are no longer accepting applications for this session. February 27, 2009 is the deadline for receipt of applications for the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) class 2009 - 2010 academic year.

Completed Applications must include the following information:

  • Completed application form
  • Completed immunization record
  • Personal resume
  • Two reference forms
  • Copy of criminal record check
  • Application fee of $60
  • Official High School transcript and/or transcripts from other post-secondary institutions (i.e., universities or colleges if applicable). Please note that an official transcript is sent directly from the institution in a sealed envelope.
  • Copy of Driver’s Abstract (from Access Nova Scotia)
  • Photocopies of current Standard First Aid certificate
  • Photocopy of Basic Cardiac Life Support or CPR Level "C" certificate

The Maritime School of Paramedicine is registered with the Private Colleges Association of Nova Scotia and complies with the principles and legislation of the Private Carreer College Act. The Primary Care Paramedicine Program delivered by the Maritime School of Paramedicine is accredited by the Canadian Medical Association. Therefore, students are eligible to apply for student assistance through the Nova Scotia Student Loans (NSSL) and/or the Canada Student Loans Programs (CSL). Students may also contact their local bank to discuss possible student funding programs (e.g., low-interest student line of credit).
