Admission to the program is very competitive, with enrollment limited to 20 students per program. Therefore, meeting minimum requirements will not guarentee acceptance. A waiting list will be maintained, recognized that some candidates may change plans, opening seats for other applicants. Short-listed applicants will be contacted and must be available to participate in the final selection interview process.
Those candidates who have submitted the required information with thieir application will be invited to the school for the selection process. During the selection process candidates will complete written examinations on Math and Reading comprehension as well as a Primary Care Paramedic level written evaluation. Candidates will also be rewarded points for volunteer work and instructor qualifications (certificates must be provided). Each candidate will also be required to perform PCP skill set evaluations as well as a PCP scenario based evaluation. Each section will be awarded a point value (including resume) and those candidates that receive the top overall marks will be selected for entrance into the school. Each year there is tight competition for the seats, so candidates should be prepared for the selection process.
