About the Program

Approved in 2003 by Emergency Health Services of Nova Scotia, the Maritime School of Paramedicine’s Advanced Care Paramedic program is the next level of study for paramedics who have completed the Primary Care Paramedicine program.

The program is offered in two formats, namely on-site and off-site. The on-site format is offered at the School in Dartmouth, while the off-site format is being offered in Dartmouth, Shelburne and Sydney this year. The next scheduled off-site programs are slated for the Middleton (May 2008) and New Glasgow (September 2008) areas.  Upon successful completion of the program, students graduate with a diploma in Advanced Care Paramedicine (ACP) from the Maritime School of Paramedicine.
